Polacy (poza Małyszem), spisali się na I treningu fatalnie. Tomisław Tajner uzyskał 107m, Marcin Bachleda 106m a Tomasz Pochwała 105,5 i zajęli miejsca od 68 do 70, na 77 startujących skoczków. Adam Małysz uzyskał 128m, co było najlepszym wynikiem z zawodników z pierwszej "15" Pucharu Świata.
Zwyżkę formy można zauważyć u Andreasa Widhoelzla. Austriak uzyskał 131m. Jego kolega z reprezentacji Martin Koch skoczył tylko 0.5m mniej. Ulubieniec gospodarzy - Sven Hannawald 127,5m.
II seria to nadal dobre skoki Niemców i Austriaków, jednak najdalej skakali skandynawowie. Tommy Ingebrigtsen (NOR) uzyskał 132,5m a Matti Hautamaeki (FIN) 132m. Adam Małysz ponownie 128m, co dało mu 9 pozycję w II serii.
Lepiej niż na I treningu spisał się Marcin Bachleda. Tym razem oddał skok na 118m, co dało mu 42 pozycję. Pozostali dwaj nasi reprezentanci ponownie bardzo słabo - Tomisław Tajner 109m (64 miejsce) a Tomasz Pochwała 106m (72).
